ARCHIVE VOICE (Whispering): "To be recognized... is to be placed."
DR. BLUE (Breathless): The eyes... they're not following the light... they're following me.
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: For all I know—
DR. BLUE: —you're just another inside Job.
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: I think you mean... inside job.
DR. BLUE: Okay.... I should be documenting this... I should be analyzing the
stimulus... but wait... huh?....
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: But things... normally... follow a pattern, right?
DR. BLUE: I always practice professional distance.
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: These are all... incorrectly random. Are you okay?
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: Why did you turn off the monitors? We need the audit to stay clean, Dr. Blue.
[00:35] [SFX: Static burst / Feedback hum]
DR. BLUE: People do things for you.
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: You can't audit no ghost...
DR. BLUE: ...the Unseen Sender...
DETECTIVE PRETLOW: ...but you can host one.

DETECTIVE PRETLOW: You smell that gunpowder? It’s a shape... she’s standing in the high grass.

DETECTIVE PRETLOW: Are you?

DETECTIVE PRETLOW: Recognition isn't finding a stranger. It's finally admitting why the stranger looks so familiar.
[SFX: Ticking stops / Clock dings]
DR. BLUE: Okay. See you tomorrow, Detective.

DETECTIVE PRETLOW:
He doesn't exist. No fingerprints. No digital footprint.
But he shoved the package through my mail slot at 3:00 A.M.
And he signed it... "LaPret."
DR. BLUE:
It’s a mirror image, Detective.
Stalkers often mimic their targets.
You aren’t hunting a suspect.
You’re hunting a reflection.
DETECTIVE PRETLOW:
I’m hunting a man who thinks he’s living in 1865.
Look at the evidence, Doc.
The paper is fresh. The ink is wet.
But the carbon dating says this letter was written
during the Civil War.
DR. BLUE:
But Detective... that’s impossible.
DETECTIVE PRETLOW:

unless he’s hiding in a safe house.
Unless he’s hiding in a time loop.
