Larry Thurman Pretlow II, born on June 19, 1989, in Washington, D.C., United States, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and politician. He is more commonly known by his stage name LaPret.

LaPret's journey in the music industry includes being a founding member of the rap group PROFOUND INTENT in 2006 and the Hip-Hop duo Keen Starz in 2010. His creative endeavors have earned him recognition as an active elected writer member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) since March 2007.

LaPret holds an Associate of Arts degree in Legal Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He also earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Law and Public Policy from Liberty University, graduating with High Distinction.

In addition to his music career, LaPret serves as the CEO of LaPret World LLC, showcasing his leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
