Larry Thurman Pretlow II, born on June 19, 1989, in Washington, D.C., United States, is an accomplished American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and politician widely recognized by his stage name, LaPret.

LaPret played a pivotal role as a founding member of the rap group PROFOUND INTENT in 2006 and later as part of the Hip-Hop duo Keen Starz in 2010.

In 2022, LaPret achieved a milestone by earning a degree in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus, followed by a bachelor's degree in political science in 2023. His professional journey includes serving as the CEO of LaPret World, LLC.

Having been elected to membership in March 2007, LaPret has actively contributed as a writer member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
